Class Overview
What to expect...
Chris Lambert, who was an art teacher at Cherokee High School for 20 years, loves to share her passion for art with others!
Students will learn how to set up their work space and care for their paint supplies.
This class teaches students the basics of color theory using acrylic paints. You will learn to mix any color from the primary colors plus black and white.
This class teaches the basics of value to create depth and volume. Value is the lightness and darkness of an object.
Students will create several exercises in paint and will complete one acrylic painting.
Who is this class for?
This weekly course is designed for beginners and those who want to improve their painting skills! For ages 18+.
When is class?
The class is 5 weeks with an additional week available to make up a class or extra time if needed. Class will be on Thursday evenings from 6-9pm. This weekly course will start August 8th and end September 5th. The optional make-up class will be September 12th. Please plan to leave early to find parking.
What do I need to bring?
All materials will be included as well as aprons to protect your clothes.
