Drawing from (Human) Life – Live Model

This project-based class is open to ages 8yrs-adult at any level. This week we will be drawing our live model Catherine! She will be modeling in activewear to enable the class to work on figure drawing.

Cathy Pica has been modeling professionally for artists, sculptors and photographers for the past twenty years. She poses at many colleges and dozens of arts studios and visual arts centers; for portrait and figure drawing. She enjoys posing for nationally-known artists at the Portrait Society of America’s annual conference, and sitting for demos from traveling artists at their workshops, such as at the Booth Art Academy in Cartersville. You can find Cathy on social media: “Catherine Pica” on Facebook and Instagram.

You can take this class as a sample for $30 to try it out. If you enjoyed your experience and want to continue expanding your skill set, we will sign you up at the front counter for as many classes as you wish!

Learning to draw what you see which will improve all your creative work.

We will draw from life a different example every week.

We will explore a variety of media and train our hand to follow our eye.
