What to expect…

  • Learn the art of centering clay on the wheel with the instruction of Shanna Coulter – Control the wheel, not the other way around.
  • Gain helpful tips for forming your clay into a vessel.
  • Understand the pottery production process from start to finish including trimming, glazing, and firing.
  • Come to practice during open studio hours – more info on practice time in class.

Who is this class for?

This class was designed for artists 12-adult at a beginning level. Whether you’re looking for a new hobby or ready to dive back into pottery, this is the class for you. Once the course is complete, you will be eligible and experienced for getting a day pass for the ceramics studio to continue practicing.

When is class? 

Class will be on Saturday mornings starting July 13th and ending August 10th from 2-5pm. Please plan to leave early to find parking.

What do I need to bring?

Materials will be included – Just bring your inspiration and ideas for creating a unique and functional piece.

Dress for mess (and I mean MESS) or use the smocks we have available in the studio.
