Sample Class: Beginning Wheel Throwing

What’s a sample class? This is a one-time class to introduce you to the properties of clay and working with it on the wheel! Instruction provided by Shanna Coulter. If you enjoy working with this media, ask us about signing up for a 5 week course to dive deeper and expand your skills!

  • Learn the art of centering clay on the wheel – Control the wheel, not the other way around
  • Gain helpful tips for forming your clay into a vessel

Please don’t leave your pottery abandoned *(Unless you plan to have us fire it for you)! Unclaimed pottery will be sacrificed and recycled 1 week after class.

*Firing Fee $10

Want your piece fired? For $10 we will fire your pottery and you can return to glaze it. After glazing we’ll fire it one last time to activate the color of the glazes. Then your beautiful, finished piece will be ready for pick-up!
